U.S. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is the projected winner in the Republican presidential nomination race in the Iowa caucus. 

Businessman Donald Trump and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) followed Cruz to make up the top three respectively, although their numbers are still tight.

Meanwhile, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee officially suspended his campaign over Twitter Monday evening.

The Democratic race between Hillary Clinton and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is too close to call. The third Democratic candidate, former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, suspended his campaign Monday evening.
