Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will be in Chicago Monday to raise funds for his campaign.
Sanders is set to attend a "meet and greet fundraising reception" this evening at the Park West in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. Tickets for the event cost between $50 and $1,000.
The U.S. senator has raised over $15 million for his presidential bid since kicking off his campaign in late April. Small donations make up most of the political funds received by the Sanders campaign.
Sanders was in Chicago back in April before he was a declared presidential candidate. He was in town during the municipal election to stump for then-Chicago mayoral candidate Jesus Chuy Garcia, who challenged Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel in a runoff, and Susan Sadlowski Garza, who ultimately won the 10th ward's aldermanic seat.
Garcia and Sadlowski Garza will reportedly be at Sanders' meet and greet fundraiser tonight.
