A new Ogden & Fry survey shows Chicago Ald. John Arena with a 9-point lead over his challenger, John Garrido.
Arena garnered 54.6 percent of the survey respondents' support to Garrido's 45.4 percent.
The poll of 529 respondents, conducted on behalf of Aldertrack, has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.35 percent.
The runoff in Chicago's 45th Ward on the Northwest Side is a re-match between incumbent Arena, a Progressive Reform Caucus member, and Garrido, a Chicago police lieutenant.
Garrido lost to Arena in the 2011 election by 30 votes.
