A new Chicago Tribune poll shows incumbent Rahm Emanuel to have a double digit lead over challenger Jesus 'Chuy' Garcia.
The poll shows that Emanuel has a 28 percent lead over Garcia, garnering 58 percent of respondents' support to 30 percent, respectively. Nine percent of those polled were undecided.
Garcia is losing steam among white voters, receiving 25 percent of the demographic's support, compared to Emanuel's 72 percent. Among Latino poll respondents, Garcia leads Emanuel 52 percent to 36 percent. Among black voters, Emanuel led 53 percent to 28 percent.
The poll was conducted by APC Research March 25 through March 29 and has a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points.
