CAN TV will provide live coverage of a town hall meeting on Illinois education funding reform Monday night.
State Rep. Christian Mitchell (D-Chicago) is hosting the 6 p.m. discussion, which will focus on the proposed School Funding Reform Act of 2014, SB 16, sponsored by State Sen. Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill).
Elected officials expected to speak at the event include State Reps. Kenneth Dunkin (D-Chicago) and William Davis (D-Homewood) as well as Chicago Alds. Pat Dowell (3rd) and Will Burns (4th).
The town hall meeting, which will be held at the Chicago Urban League, can be watched live at 6 p.m. tonight on Chicago cable channel CAN TV27 and online at cantv.org/live.
