Chicago Forward, the political action committee for Mayor Rahm Emanuel, has raised more than $1 million in the last fundraising cycle, according to new campaign finance reports.
Mark Lampert of BVF Partners; Muneer Satter of Satter Investment Management; Joseph Mansueto, CEO of Morningstar Inc.; Laura Arnold of the Arnold Foundation; Mark Gallogly of Centerbridge Partners; and Stephen Malkin, president of Ranger Capital Management each donated $100,000 to the PAC during the last fundraising cycle.
Five others, including Sam Zell, former chair of the Tribune Co., donated $50,000.
The PAC now has a warchest of almost $2.4 million.
Meanwhile, Chicago Ald. Bob Fioretti (2nd) had $326,000 in campaign funds through June 30, raising an additional $23,000 between July and September. Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis donated $40,000 to her political fund last month, but has not officially announced a run for mayor.
