U Of I To Tap State For More Money in 2015

The University of Illinois is set to ask the state for more money in the 2015 fiscal year.

The university plans to request $87 million more in the 2015 fiscal year than the $663.4 million that was appropriated in the current 2014 fiscal year. The U of I system is seeking more money after years of flat or reduced state funding. The 2014 fiscal year's allocation was flat, following a 6.2 percent decline in state funding in fiscal year 2013.
