Nurses NATO Protest Permit Gets Revoked By The City

The protest permit granted to National Nurses United by the city for May 18 has been revoked due to conflict between the parties over the parade route. The city had originally approved a march from the Sheraton Hotel in Streeterville to Daley Plaza, but the group found out the plan got pulled on Tuesday. The city approved the parade, set for the Friday before the NATO summit takes place. The summit is scheduled for Sunday, May 20 and Monday, May 21.

The city now wants the nurses group to march the Petrillo Band Shell in Grant Park, which is also where the city steered a NATO protest scheduled for two days later.
