Iraq War veteran and former Assistant Secretary for the Department of Veteran's Affairs Tammy Duckworth has released a new video in her push to win the Democratic nomination in the 8th congressional district race.
The autobiographical video gives viewers and residents of the 8th district a look into the early life of Duckworth, including her own family's battles with unemployment, as well as her time spent fighting in Iraq, which led to a life-changing injury.
“Life isn’t fair and it’s not government’s job to make life fair,” Duckworth said in the video, but “if you're 55 … like my dad and you lose your job, we should have programs and incentives out there so that you have a shot at the American dream. [Be]cause if you're not going to give up when life isn't fair, then we're not going to give up on you, either.”

I think that this is a bit by surprise as Duckworth isn't that famous to release a autobiographical video but I got impressed about the quality and the content after watched it.
