Republican leader of the Illinois House Tom Cross has decided against running for the office of Illinois Attorney General. Cross made the decision after Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan decided to run for re-election, saying her choice changed the "dynamic" of the race.
"When the attorney general was considering a career change, many people approached me to consider running for that position," Cross said. "Obviously, that dynamic has changed. I will remain committed to serving as the leader of the House Republican caucus."
