State Sen. Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) will kick off his campaign to be governor
on Wednesday. He has a handful of appearances scheduled across the state
tomorrow during which he will formally announce his bid for governor,
including stops in Bloomington, Chicago, Marion and Springfield.

Brady won the Republican primary in the race for governor in 2010, but was unsuccessful in beating Gov. Pat Quinn. Brady came in third in the Republican primary during the 2006 election for governor.
Other Republican candidates vying for the governor's seat in the 2014 election include State Sen. Kirk Dillard (R-Hinsdale), millionaire venture capitalist Bruce Rauner and Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford.
