Disgraced former Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. has requested to be sent to prison before his wife Sandi Jackson.

In February, former Chicago alderman Sandi Jackson pleaded guilty on the same day as her husband, admitting to having not reported some $600,000 of income.
Federal prosecutors have recommended jail sentences of 18 months for Sandi and four years for Jackson Jr.. But both parties are seeking shorter sentences, with Sandi requesting just probation.
Presecutors do not believe Sandi should get special treatment, despite the defense's argument that she should see a lighter sentence and have concessions made for when she serves her time due to her former role as a public servant.
