In the wake of the Chicago Public Schools plan to close 54 schools
across the district, U.S. Reps. Danny Davis (D, IL-7) and Bobby Rush
(D, IL-1) are hosting a Congressional Joint Forum on school closings
this Saturday, April 20.
The forum is open to the public and will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Quinn Chapel AME Church, located at 2401 S. Wabash Ave.
Davis and Rush both attended
an “eye-opening” bus tour hosted by the Chicago Teachers Union earlier this month, during which they both
