Gov. Pat Quinn has appointed Raja Krishnamoorthi vice chairman of the Illinois Innovation Council.
president of Bolingbrook-based Sivananthan Laboratories, which touts
itself as a “high tech business incubator”, is also the former deputy
state treasurer who ran against U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D, IL-8) in the Democratic primary election for the 8th district seat that was then held by former congressman Joe Walsh.
Chaired by Brad Keywell, co-founder of
Groupon Inc. and Lightbank, the Illinois Innovation Council aims to
promote innovative technologies that encourage economic growth and job
creation in Illinois.
