The Illinois House Judiciary Committee's second public hearing on gun safety is taking place in Chicago today. Progress Illinois is live tweeting from the hearing, follow us @ProgressIL.
Earlier this week, the first hearing, which took place in Springfield, made news when an official with the National Rifle Association suggested that Illinoisans should be able to carry concealed weapons on public transit.
