This week, candidates vying for the 2nd Congressional District seat, which covers parts of the South Side of Chicago and some of the south suburbs, will be debating and CAN TV will bring live, uninterrupted coverage. 

 

On Tuesday, February 5, at 7:30 p.m., CAN TV27 will provide coverage as the Chicago Republican Party will host Republican congressional candidates. Those scheduled to debate include Lenny McAllister, Paul McKinley, James Taylor, Sr., and Dr. Eric Wallace.

 

On Thursday, February 7, at 6 p.m., CAN TV27 will show the live debate of Democratic congressional candidates, hosted by Governors State University in partnership with League of Women Voters. Twelve candidates are scheduled to debate, some of which include Chicago Ald. Anthony Beale (9th), State Sen. Toi Hutchinson (D-Olympia Fields), former U.S. Rep. Debbie Halvorson, and former Cook County Chief Administrative Officer Robin Kelly. 

 

CAN TV will also be live streaming the debates on www.cantv.org/watch.
