United Airlines will slash 600 jobs from its company, including some in Illinois. The company says the cuts will help the company stay in accordance with the lower number of flights being taken. The company recorded $723 million in losses last year.
Jobs in management and administration are expected to be cut. Last month, four of United's 50 senior staffers were let go. The cuts are expected in Chicago because the company is headquartered in the city and O'Hare Airport is one of its biggest hubs.
