Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) has retained her seat as the head of the Illinois Senate's Republican party for another two years. Radogno's Republican cohorts voted for her to keep the job Wednesday night in a closed door meeting. She has led Republicans in the state Senate for the last four years.

State Sen. Kyle McCarter (R-Lebanon) was also in the running for the job.
