A Chicago Tribune/WGN poll has Democratic U.S. House candidate Tammy Duckworth enjoying a ten-point lead over U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-McHenry) in Illinois' 8th district race for Congress. Fifty percent of voters polled between last Sunday and Wednesday favored Duckworth, compared to 40 percent for Walsh.
With the election less than two weeks away, there are a plethora of polls for every competitive race. But the Tribune/WGN poll is arguably notable because it was taken after the candidate's final debate, and Walsh's incendiary remarks regarding abortions. A poll by We Ask America released just two weeks ago found Walsh with a two-percentage point lead.
