A strike at North Shore School District 112 in Highland Park and Highwood that began yesterday ended this morning, according to the Chicago Tribune. North suburban teachers walked the picket line yesterday to protest a contract offer they said put them behind other suburban teachers in regards to salaries and benefits.

The labor dispute followed not just the Chicago Teachers Union strike, but also work stoppages in other suburban school districts.
