The Illinois House voted 100-6 today to expel State Rep. Derrick Smith (D-Chicago), who faces federal charges for allegedly taking a $7,000 bribe. The indicted Smith is the first member kicked out of the Illinois House since 1905.
Despite his expulsion, Smith's name will still appear on the November ballot.
