New poll results show that 10th congressional district incumbent Bob Dold (R) could be at risk of losing his seat to Democratic challenger Brad Schneider. The House Majority PAC/SEIU* poll found Dold and Schneider to be tied at 46 percent each. When the respondents were given fair and balanced info to reach on each candidate, Schneider overtook Dold 53 percent to 42 percent.
“Bob Dold is in serious trouble because he is seriously out of step with Illinois,” said Alixandria Lapp, executive director of House Majority PAC. “After all, Dold voted to end Medicare as we know it forcing seniors to pay more out of pocket for care, to defund Planned Parenthood – even though it serves tens of thousands of Illinoisans a year – and to give members of Congress taxpayer-subsidized health care for life.”
The poll has a 4.9 percent margin of error and was of 400 likely voters in the 10th congressional district.
