Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has endorsed another candidate in the upcoming March primary election, this time in the 26th district race for state representative.
"I am endorsing Christian because he is dedicated to fiscal responsibility, giving our kids the education they deserve, and making critical investments to keep our city and state competitive. We need more leaders like him,” said Emanuel in a press release.
Mitchell is going up against Kenny Johnson in the race for the democratic nomination in the 26th district. Mitchell has also garnered support from Gov. Pat Quinn, Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle, Secretary of State Jesse White, and U.S. Congressman Bobby Rush (D-1).
