The head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) says Illinois is part of the party's plan to take back the House in November. Democrats are hoping to gain a minimum of three seats in Illinois. DCCC head U.S. Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY) predicts that the race will be "razor close", adding that the party has "a sustained breeze at our backs."
Democrats also see California as a state where they can make gains towards winning the House. The party hopes to pick up at least four seats in The Golden State in November.
