U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (R-9) is holding a Twitter forum with constituents Thursday. The congresswoman is asking 9th congressional district residents to send questions, comments and ideas on Twitter using the handle #AskJan until noon today. The congresswoman's camp would like participants to include the name of their town in their tweet as well. Schakowsky will respond to many of those questions and comments this evening at 6 p.m. via her Twitter account, @JanSchakowsky.

“I am always looking to use new ways to stay engaged with constituents while I represent the 9th district in Washington,” said Schakowsky. “I believe it is important to use any tool available to not only listen to people’s concerns but to also let them know what I’m doing as a member of Congress. I encourage people to use this forum to ask me questions directly and I look forward to an informative discussion.”
