Sixteen activists protesting as part of the Take Back Chicago movement were arrested yesterday outside of the Mortgage Bankers Association conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Those arrested were with the community group Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation (SOUL) and many of them were underwater homeowners, clergy and students.
One of the underwater homeowners, Shani Smith, reportedly shouted "I want to stay in my home," as she was put in a police vehicle.
