The last two employee unions for educators at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC) will be voting on a strike authorization in upcoming days. Graduate Assistants United will vote this evening at 4 p.m. and the Non-Tenure Track Faculty Association will vote on October 5.
Two of the other unions represented by the Illinois Education Association at SIUC, the Association of Civil Service employees and The Faculty Association, voted in favor of a strike authorization earlier this week.
