Federal Assistance For 14 of 21 Counties Approved
Gov. Pat Quinn's request for federal assistance for parts of downstate Illinois after severe flooding this spring was approved for the 14 of the 21 counties, according to a release. Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hardin, Jackson, Lawrence, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, White and Williamson counties were approved, but Hamilton, Jefferson, Marion, Union, Wabash, Washington and Wayne counties were not.
