The Chicago City Council’s Committee on Housing and Real Estate approved a 27,000-square-foot indoor skateboard park to be built on the South Side. The city would sell the space from 1600 to 1752 S. Clark St. for $1 but the Park District is also requesting a $2 million tax increment financing (TIF) subsidy. If approved, the park would be the first of it's kind as an overnight skateboard park.
