Gov. Pat Quinn announced his three appointments to the Health Facilities and Services Review Board. Quinn appointed Southwestern Illinois College chief financial officer Robert Hilgenbrink, 61, of Shiloh; dental clinic administrator Kathryn Olson, 55, of Rochelle; and University of Illinois at Chicago faculty member Richard Sewell, 64, of Chicago. The positions are unpaid and the board has authority over Illinois hospital construction and closures. The same board denied the closure of Cook County's Oak Forest Hospital last month.
