Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is among a list of law enforcement leaders who are backing the state DREAM Act, according to the the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Kane County Sheriff Pat Perez, Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart, Cook County States Attorney Anita Alvarez, David Roldan of the Hispanic Law Enforcement Association, Arturo Venegas of the Law Enforcement Engagement Initiative, Melrose Park Police Chief Sam Pitassi, East Moline Police Chief Victor Moreno are also all supporters.
