Tens of thousands of waste tires are being removed from three sites (in Chicago and Harvey) to be properly disposed of by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Used Tire Cleanup Program. The EPA says each site will take several days and hopes to finish before the warm weather and mosquito season starts.
