Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle said Tuesday at a press conference with Chicago Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel that his proposal to broaden the sales tax is unlikely to go far. Preckwinkle said that while she likes his idea of including "luxury services" in the sales tax and lowering the overall rate, legislators in Springfield are unlikely to act.
