An advocacy group is pitching a high-speed rail line from Chicago to New York City in what it envisions could cost between $10 billion and $25 billion. The group is claiming that the trip could from take as little as 5 hours if speeds reached on European high-speed rail lines are met. If built, the line would travel through an area home to over 100 million people.
