In his quest to find a new CEO for the Chicago Public Schools system, Chicago mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel is searching beyond city and state borders for candidates. Rumored candidates include Andres Alonso, who heads Baltimore's public education system; Peter Gorman, Superintendent of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina; Jerry Weast, former superintendent from Montgomery County, MD; and John White, New York City's deputy chancellor in charge of talent, labor and innovation in their education system.
