Gov. Pat Quinn and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin are joining Republicans in asking for for the Obama administration to agree not to use Thomson Correctional facility to detain terrorist suspects currently being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Quinn said the request is in necessary to advance a deal for the state to sell the prison to the Federal Government. The move by Quinn and Durbin follows a letter sent by Sen. Mark Kirk and Rep. Dan Manzullo asking Obama to keep the terror detainees out of Illinois.
