Former Chicago Police Commander Jon Burge was sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison, following his conviction on perjury and obstruction of justice charges related to torture allegations. Before announcing her decision, U.S. District Judge Joan Lefkow heard from torture victims and community activists.
