Lawyers for former Gov. George Ryan have promised to continue the battle to get him out of jail so he can be with his ailing wife. The legal team hopes to get backing from the U.S. attorney's office in an attempt to have Ryan moved to a prison closer to his home in Kankakee. This appeal comes after a panel of judges rejected Ryan's request for bail on Monday afternoon "because his chance of success on appeal is not sufficiently high."
