Gov. Pat Quinn, who took over for the impeached former Gov. Rod
Blagojevich two years ago, was sworn in today for his first full-term as
Illinois' chief executive. His inaugural address, which lasted roughly 30 minutes,
stressed the importance of economic growth, educational investments, and
service to country and community.
