A lawyer for former Gov. George Ryan said that Lura Lynn Ryan is in intensive care and may have only hours to live. Lura Lynn, Ryan's wife of 50 years, pleaded with a federal judge last month to release the former governor who has served three years of his six-and-a-half-year prison sentence for charges tied to corruption. The request was denied.
