Anti-gay groups from Illinois have made it on to a national organization's annual "hate list." The Southern Poverty Law Center, based in Montgomery, Alabama, added anti-gay organizations from acroos the country to its list of hate groups this year. The addition of these groups has led to controversy nationwide. The list includes Downers Grove-based Heterosexuals Organized for a Moral Environment and the Illinois Family Institute, which is in Carol Stream.
