Rasmussen Reports' latest survey of 750 Illinois residents likely to vote in November finds GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady holding a 6 point lead over Gov. Pat Quinn. Here are the topline results (with the results of the previous Rasmussen surveys in parentheses):
Bill Brady (R): 46% (50%, 46%, 48%, 44%, 43%, 47%, 45%)
Pat Quinn (D): 40% (37%, 37%, 35%, 37%, 40%, 36%, 38%)
Rich Whitney (G): 2% (4%)
Scott Lee Cohen (I): 4%
The poll is notably missing one candidate, Libertarian Lex Green. Rasmussen has not yet released a poll featuring all of the gubernatorial candidates that voters will choose from on Election Day.
Rasmussen's poll includes "leaners," or the voters who have not made a final decision about who they are voting for, but are leaning towards voting for a particular candidate.
