Attorneys for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich filed a petition in court late Monday asking Judge James Zagel to nullify the single conviction of which the jury found the former governor guilty. Blagojevich's lawyers also suggested that the judge could put the conviction aside and allow the jury at his retrial -- scheduled to start in January -- to try him on the same charge.
