While Ald. Joe Moore (49th Ward) had threatened to delay the vote, the Chicago City Council voted 41-4 this morning to clear the way for a third Walmart store in the South Side neighborhood of Chatham.  Meanwhile, Ald. Emma Mitts -- whose 37th Ward is home to the city's first Walmart -- said that the company will begin paying a starting hourly wage of $8.75 at that store next month.
