The prosecution in the federal corruption trial of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich has finished its closing arguments, in which attorneys highlighted the alleged shakedown of Children's Memorial Hospital head Patrick Magoon. Sam Adam Jr. presented half of the defense team's closing arguments this afternoon and will finish up tomorrow.

UPDATE (7/27): The proceedings could be hectic today as attorney Sam Adams. Jr. has promised to defy a judge's order by criticizing the prosecution for deciding not to summon key witnesses like Tony Rezko to testify. If Adams is held in contempt of court, the jury might not begin deliberations today.
