Disgraced former Democratic lieutenant governor nominee Scott Lee Cohen -- now attempting to run for governor as an independent -- will announce his running mate Wednesday at 10 a.m.
UPDATE (7:50 p.m.): Via Capitol Fax, Bernie Schoenburg reports that Baxter Swilley will be Cohen's running mate. Swilley worked as Cohen's downstate director during the Democratic primary. He previously worked as John Edwards' Missouri political director in 2004 and, prior to that, for Rep. Jan Schakowsky. He has also worked with the Chicago Metropolitan YMCA and the Chicago Urban League.
