At her new blog, Chicago's Carol Felsenthal conducts an interview with outgoing Cook County Assessor James Houlihan in which he hints that he is interested in running for mayor of Chicago. "Any kid who grew up in Chicago who has been involved in government," he says "would want to take a run at being mayor." Asked if he could imagine himself entering a primary against Mayor Daley, Houlihan suggested it was a possibility. "I could imagine it," he said. "I think the issue is whether it would add to a better debate about the future of the city."
