Quinn Says Brady Should "Rethink" His Candidacy (UPDATED)

Criticizing him for not disclosing his tax returns, Gov. Pat Quinn had some harsh words for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady today.  “I think anybody who wants to aspire to this office and doesn’t want to disclose their tax return," Quinn told reporters, "really should re-think their candidacy."

While Brady has filed an state a personal financial disclosure with the Board of Elections, he says there is no reason to release his tax forms. Quinn, who released his documents today, counters that it's "fundamental" for a gubernatorial candidate to prove he or she has no financial conflicts of interest.

UPDATE (3:30 p.m.): The pressure seems to have gotten to Brady. This afternoon, he sent out an email alerting the media that he will release his tax returns sometime this week.
