The Fair Map coalition, which is proposing a redistricting reform plan that would take lawmakers out of the mapping process, has missed a self-imposed April 16 deadline to gather the require 288,000 signatures necessary to get their amendment on the ballot in November. The official deadline for submission is May 3 and, while the group won't say how many signatures they've actually received, they say there is strong support for their proposal.
UPDATE (3:35 p.m): The AP reports that the Fair Map Coalition, through April 18, has only collected roughly 120,000 signatures.
