Now that the state has passed a measure legalizing video poker, will Chicago repeal its video gaming ban?
According to Mayor Richard Daley, not anytime soon. "There’s no
discussion," Daley told Chicago Public Radio today. "No one’s ever even
brought it up."
The state's capital construction plan, which passed last year, is reliant on gaming revenues. Without Chicago's approval, lawmakers might be forced to find a new revenue source.
